Can you believe Christmas is four days away? Neither can I. Although technically it's three days away for me because my family celebrates on the 24th. I feel like it flies by quicker each year and I haven't even sent out cards yet! Most of the time, making plans with friends in December just seems like an impossible task and I feel like I need to set aside one day each week just for myself (think Laney from Seinfeld – "All I know is that it's Sunday night and I have got to unwind!").
I couldn't have asked for a better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a family shoot at a tree farm; which is what I've wanted to do for a while. It's just too bad that it didn't snow that day. I photographed this lovely family at the beginning of December at Pinedale Tree Farm in West Flamborough, in order for them to use the photos as their Christmas cards this year. I would really recommend visiting Pinedale, because not only is it a pretty drive, but it's run by the cutest elderly couple who let us take pictures and didn't ask for payment in return, even though it was well into the season and other places had said it was too late.
Nelson and Lily met in high school and have been together for 12 years! They have two beautiful boys - Mason and Liam, who not only are super adorable, but Mason loves being in front of the camera and Liam is the happiest baby I've seen; who pretty much smiles at everything. I love that you can tell how much this family loves each other just by being with them for a short time. Also, at the end of our session, they gifted me a gorgeous wreath!
I just love Liam's face in this picture (left)!
